About
Why this exists
Every product team collects more than it can remember. Interviews, usability sessions, analytics, support tickets, complaints, requests from employers and the commercial team — the work of learning is done constantly, and most of it is lost within a quarter.
What is lost is not the research. It is the connection: which observation led to which decision, what the team expected to happen, and whether it did. Without that thread, a product team is left arguing from memory and re-running work it has already done.
The idea
Keep one thread, from an observation to a result, where the whole team can see it. Make capturing something take a minute. Make the decision record itself. And when a bet finishes, write down what happened — including when it did not work, because that is the record the next team needs most.
Where it came from
Evidence Bank was built for the product function at My Money Matters, a workplace financial wellbeing provider, and is now in pilot with other teams. It is deliberately small: five record types, one loop, and nothing that needs a consultant to configure.
Who is building it
It is built and run by Chris Berridge in the UK. That means direct answers, quick changes, and an honest account of what the product does not do yet — see the security page for the current state of that.
Try it with your own evidence
Bring a decision you are weighing up, and we will walk it through the loop.
