Cookie policy

One cookie, used to keep you signed in. Nothing else.

Draft, pending legal review. This describes how Evidence Bank actually works today and is written to be accurate, but it has not been reviewed by a solicitor. Have it checked before relying on it in a contract.

The one cookie we set

When you sign in to the product, we set a single cookie named eb_session. It holds the identifier of the signed-in account and nothing else. It is httpOnly, so scripts on the page cannot read it, and it expires after seven days or when you sign out.

This cookie is strictly necessary: without it there is no way to know who is signed in. Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, strictly necessary cookies do not require consent, which is why you are not asked to dismiss a banner.

What we do not use

No analytics, no advertising, no third-party trackers, and no cookies on this marketing site at all. If that changes, this page will change first and a consent banner will appear with it.
