Capture evidence has a second tab for transcripts. Paste the text of an interview or usability session and Evidence Bank suggests the observations it contains.
- Paste the transcript. Anything from a few hundred words to a long session works.
- Choose Find evidence, and wait — a long interview takes up to a minute.
- Review each suggestion. Edit the wording, remove anything that is not an observation, and check the quote against the transcript.
- Set the product and source type that apply to all of them, then save.
What happens to the transcript
It is sent to Anthropic's API to find the observations, and it is stored in Evidence Bank as the source of anything you save, so colleagues can check the context. Names and personal details are left out of the suggestions, but they remain in the text you pasted — remove what should not be kept before you paste.
Nothing is saved until you confirm. If the suggestions are wrong, go back and edit the transcript, or add the observations by hand.
